The minimum requirements listed above will let your computer connect to the service, but won't provide the best Internet experience possible. This is because a computer meeting only the minimum requirements is too slow to take full advantage of a high-speed Internet connection.
If your computer does not meet the recommended system requirements, we can assist you with computer upgrades. The most common upgrades purchased with high-speed Internet service are an Ethernet card and additional memory. You might also want to consider a processor upgrade. Memory upgrades are the easiest and most affordable way to enhance your computer's performance. If your computer has less than 64MB of memory, a memory upgrade is certain to making your computer perform better. A processor upgrade will cost more than a memory upgrade, but will give your computer even greater performance. Some computers can accept just a processor upgrade, while others require a processor and motherboard upgrade together. An inspection of your computer may be required to find out what upgrades will work in your computer. You can drop your computer off at a Mercury Network store or order a HouseCall for on-site service. See the IT Services section of our web site for details.
